Damaged - A Reviewer's Top Pick for 2022

Hi All

As I writer (I must admit) it can be nerve-wrecking to release a poem, an essay/commentary, a short story, or an entire book to the world to then sit back and wait for the reactions and feedback.

A little over two years ago, when I began this writing adventure, I had no idea or expectation my words would resonate with (quite literally) anyone - at all (Haha) - and I am pleasantly surprised and honored my poetry is read and enjoyed by others. It really means the world to me!

With that said, I'd like to give a huge THANK YOU to book reviewer Karla Kay who, about 2 hours ago, posted a list of her favorite books of 2022.

Of 119 books read this year, my first collection of poems, "Damaged", is listed as her favorite book for March 2022.

To see my name listed among the ranks of writers Daemon Manx, Nat Whiston (whose Creepy Bunny videos on YouTube are super fun!), Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, Ronald McGillvray, and William Peter Blathy is very humbling.

I want to thank all of you who are (and have been) on this journey with me - it is an absolute pleasure being a part of your world and I am thrilled you are a part of mine! The friendships and bonds that have developed over the past two years are close and highly valued. I love being a part of the worldwide writer's community.

The fact that a narrative poet with an intense potty-mouth and a seemingly endless supply of adult-themed stories about tragedy, death, grief and mourning, prostitution, drug & alcohol addiction, domestic violence, isolation and loneliness, shyness and awkwardness, vulnerability, and anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges - with the silly name of "Jimmy Broccoli" is read at all seems a bit of a miracle (LOL!). Who would ever have predicted that?

Thank you - please know you are highly appreciated! Every day.
