Jimmy - As The Easter Bunny
It's Easter, so I thought I'd get into the spirit of the holiday and do something fun and meaningful for the kids and families in the neighborhood.
I spent a few hours last night hard-boiling and coloring eggs (and filling plastic eggs with candy for the vegan children and for those with egg allergies) and putting together little baskets with plastic green Easter grass and jelly beans while listening to my favorite Easter songs on YouTube.
This morning was an absolute blast! With the help of two others in my apartment building, I hid eggs (real and plastic) for the egg hunt (at the very early time of 8 am), handed out baskets and dressed as the Easter Bunny for photos. The children and the parents loved it - which means a lot to me because I'm new to the neighborhood, so this was an excellent opportunity for me to meet others in the Little 5 Points (Inman Park) area.
And the children are loving the Jimmy Broccoli coloring pages and free crayons (yes, I'm marketing my brand on Easter - are you overly surprised? ).
Below is my favorite photo of the day. It's me (dressed as the Easter Bunny) and little Joey, from across the street and two houses down. This is just one of the many precious memories I'll hold close to my heart, forever! A great time was had by all.
I hope you and your family, friends, and other loved ones are enjoying the day! Happy Easter.
