It's Thursday - which means it is time for the second installment of "Jimmy Loves It, But Everyone Else Thinks It Sucks".
Today's selection is a special one. Musician extraordinaire Patrick Schneeweis, better known as Pat the Bunny, was part of three different bands (Johnny Hobo, Wingnut Dishwashers Union and Ramshackle Glory) and worked as a solo artist near the end of his career. I am thankful for the 13 years of amazing music Pat shared with fans.
His first band, Johnny Hobo & The Freight Trains is, in my opinion, his best work.
Here is an amazing performance in an unknown bathroom somewhere in Hobart, Tasmania (it is located below Australia). It's Johnny Hobo & The Freight Trains with the modern post-punk classic "Whiskey Is My Kind Of Lullaby".
Jimmy loves it - I hope you enjoy it - but it is highly likely you'll think it sucks.
P.S. - the shaky camera stops after about 11 seconds. Yeah, that 11 seconds is irritating - but a top notch performance proceeds and follows it.
