"Maison Mouse" - Written by Johanne Lee - My Review

Hi All

This morning I read an incredible book, written by an amazing author - who is also a wonderful friend of mine!

Johanne Lee is both a poet and a writer of children's books. "Maison Mouse" - her latest offering - is an outstanding addition to her collection of children's literature. And it shares a very important message.

Maison (who is a mouse) lives in a hole in the floor - Maison is homeless - and this is the powerful subject matter tacked (very well) within the pages of "Maison Mouse".

I believe it is important for adults to instill within the minds of children the awesomeness of wonder, fantasy, and adventure - but, I find it equally important to introduce children to the harsher realities of the world, as well.

Without being preachy or over-handed, "Maison Mouse" delivers it's message of understanding and empathy beautifully.

This is a book that belongs on many shelves - within homes, within libraries, and prominently displayed in bookstore windows. And it's meant to be read and understood - both by children and adults.

If you get a chance, pick up a copy. You'll be glad you did.
