"Nothing Compares 2 U" - the song and video - expresses emotion in a way I hadn't seen or experienced previously. It is raw and so very real. No bullshit or artificial feelings or fake camera-ready moments. Sinead reveals, up close, what heartbreak really feels like. It's devastating and beautiful.

I suspect most of you are familiar with this song. Tonight, as I listen to muffled late night street sounds and witness the lightning bugs glow in the bushes a few feet below my bedroom window on a calm Georgia evening, I listen to this amazing song - and anything and everything different than peaceful melts into obscurity and disappears into the invisible.
